National Customer Support Center Assists in finding a missing child September 5th, 2006 9:34amThe communications center in Oaklawn IL, called the National Customer Support Center in Charleston, West Virginia. The center had just received training the day before on their recently aquired Web Based WARN Geo Mapping product. The dispatcher explained that she had received a call from the City Police Department who requested a broadcast within a mile radius of an address located within the city limits and requested assistance in doing so. The WARN customer support technican signed onto the Oaklawn Account and created a one mile radius around the address. The radius collected 6,958 telephone numbers and the missing child notification was broadcast. The young lady was found within ten minutes of the initial broadcast. Safe and sound at the zoo with a chaperone. Another happy ending for our WARN users. |
